The solo project of Janne Da Arc vocalist yasu, Acid Black Cherry, is a new rock unit currently signed to Avex. With a high production rate, fans are frequently treated to new releases of ABC, and the group has managed to cause a lot of excitement both at home in Japan and abroad.

Another fact worth mentioning is that Acid Black Cherry's music videos often have a humorous tone to them. In these videos, which are basically small stories, yasu can be seen playing a variety of characters, such as a clumsy, nerdy musician auditioning for Avex, a sexy vamp, or his own dorky fangirl.
