indies - disbanded (1999 - 2007)

kagerou had a lengthy career of seven years, and in that time they showed the visual kei scene their versatile composition and unique musicial style. While the band did not form a concrete lineup for their first two years, when finally settled, they took the indies scene in Japan by storm, gaining international recognition.

Their songs ranged from heart-wrenching angst to dark, despairing tunes, with softer songs occasionally squeezed in between. One of kagerou's most unique qualities was Daisuke's voice, as he was able to switch between screaming to soft whispers in a moment's notice. This, melded together with each member's individual style, formed a sound that was solely kagerou's.
