Tokami is one of the few remaining representatives of an old-school visual kei style. They have established a firm following in the Tokyo underground indies scene, making their fans especially happy with regular distribution of a large number of demo releases.

In spite of the number of member changes the band has gone through, their style has stayed rather consistent. Their visuals are dark and elaborate with music that is heavy and aggressive, and at the same time melodic and moving. With the contribution of the latest vocalist, Agato's dark voice, Tokami have attained an even more captivating sound.
