Music so good that it makes God happy — that's what the name Kagrra, translates to, according to vocalist Isshi. The main concept behind Kagrra,'s style was classical Japanese aesthetics combined with rock music. In the past, their costumes and lyrics were based on particular stages from the cultural history of Japan. Although during their final years the band had largely dropped the heavy visual style, the sense of "neo japanesque" was still present in their music and lyrics.
