Hotaru

Hotaru (firefly) was a band that mixed rock music with jazz and blues to create an incredibly catchy style. Vocalist Shinichirou added to the originality of the band's sound, pouring his emotions out through his voice. The band members are all very skilled, and with their readiness to experiment with other styles Hotaru was never lacking in variety.

The band was generally categorized as a visual kei band, or an angura kei band, because of the dark make-up they used to wear in the beginning of their career. However, soon after they traded the make-up and funny costumes for a much more casual look.
