Their name might fool you into thinking they’re a metal or hardcore punk band, but OGRE YOU ASSHOLE is neither. Usually classified as a post-rock or indie-rock band, this quartet produces guitar-driven music. Their forte lies in their quick, repetitive but catchy guitar riffs and Manabu Deto’s piercing vocals. They are often compared to the American band Modest Mouse, but have given music their own original twist.

OGRE YOU ASSHOLE has established themselves firmly in the Japanese indie scene and have recently signed with a major label. The band is also being promoted outside of Japan with a tour in the United States.
