sakanaction is an eclectic band based out of Sapporo. Still new to the scene, the band blends elements from many types of music such as rock, electronica and even funk to create their own unique sound.

The name sakanaction comes from the Japanese word "sakana," meaning fish, and the word "action." The members wished to act quickly and lightly, like fishes in the water, without fearing changes in the music scene.
