After Siam Shade disbanded in 2002, bassist Natin, like the other members, decided to start a solo career. Natin at first felt that his singing wasnt all that great so he practiced repeatedly until he felt comfortable to show it off to the public. He changed his name to Natchin and released his first album in March 2003, started touring in April and opened his official site. In June, he participated in a few dates of one of Aikawa Nanases tours and did what he knows how to do best: play bass.
In August, he released his second album, CONDITIONS, and went on several more solo lives. Again in 2004, he performed with Aikawa Nanase and this time stuck around for her entire tour. Natchin held an occasional solo live but mostly stayed out of the spotlight until Christmas, when he held a special live. Then, he decided to take a longer break, which ended up being around eight months. He reappeared again in August to hold a concert with Kikkawa Koji and, despite the high admission fee of 6500 yen, was a huge success.
Following his previous actions, Natchin is on yet another break. Hopefully hell be back soon as his fans, as well as Siam Shades fans are dying to hear more of his eccentric solo work.
NATCHIN
indies - active (2003 - )
As a solo artist, Natchin has proved that he can perform melancholic ballads and energetic songs with the same expert precision. Natchins material may strike some people as being rather strange, but repeated listens and a great appreciation for his technical ability is all that it takes to truly enjoy his unique solo work.
