BugLug

BugLug, a highly anticipated visual kei band, hit the scene in early 2010. With a mini-album released in January and their first single released in April, BugLug is quickly making a name for themselves. Sharp and cutting-edge, BugLug is only just beginning its legacy.

At the end of 2009, BugLug’s official homepage showed a shadowed image of the band members and no other information was released until early 2010, when their faces were unveiled and became known to the music scene as BugLug.

Led by Issei (ex-Cult) and three previous Ruvie members; Yuu and Kazuki on guitar and bassist Tsubame, BugLug comes together with a range of talent and experience, gaining attention in the music scene with their fun, brightly coloured style and confidence. To date, BugLug has a mini-album and their first single on the market, with more to come in the future.

According to their official homepage, BugLug has been featured in the media ranging from TV, radio and magazine interviews (Cure, SHOXX, Fool’s Mate, just to mention a few popular publications) to in-store events and live shows largely set in April of this year.

BugLug is fun; their image presents a bright rainbow of thought, synonymous with oshare kei bands and the genre itself, despite BugLug being marketed as a visual kei group. As the receptors of this visionary group, the world is waiting for more.
