Released on September 21, POLICE marks Zoro's first release under their new label, JESSE RECORDS, run by Tatsuhi and Ryuuji.
The title-track, POLICE, takes a similar path to their previous hit HOUSE・OF・MADPEAK as it features a catchy, attention-grabbing beat and endless layers of synthesizers that causes the listener to be lost between them. Ryuuji’s vocals are fully auto-tuned and are fairly monotonous throughout the song. The beat is rather memorable as it opens with a rockier sound and then jumps into a heavy dance bass beat, smothered in layers of synthesizers.
The melody in more is brighter but stays within a selective few notes. more continues with the dance beat backing track with plenty of synthesizers. This track is only included on the regular edition of the single.
109 is hyper, crazy and overflowing with energy. The track seems to best represent Zoro’s style with many layers of synthesizers and a very fast electro-snyth bass beat. Ryuuji’s vocals are again auto-tuned and throughout POLICE, the use of auto-tune rubs off a robotic, rigid feeling on the single.
