Megamasso was in the middle of their spring tour ’09 OVER THE GLITTER! when they held a one-man live in Kanazawa AZ. On the day after the live, they did some promotion for their new single, BLESS, which was released on March 25, and JaME was able to join the band and catch a glimpse of what they were like off the stage.

It was a cold, rainy afternoon when Ryouhei, Inzargi and Gou arrived at the Hokkoku Newspaper building. While we were waiting for the arrival of reporters, the three members were putting on light make-up in the dressing room. At that time, the final match of the WBC (World Baseball Championship) was broadcast live on TV, and the teams were Japan versus Korea. It was such an electric game that everyone there couldn’t keep their eyes from the TV screen. In the 10th inning of the extended game, Ichiro singled up the middle and members saw Japan win. Their elation spilled over into the interview, bringing cheerful smiles to their faces in their photo shoots.

In the interviews for newspapers and magazines, they talked about their thoughts when creating the new single BLESS, their impression of Kanazawa and how they felt during the live that they had finished the day before. They finished recording comments for a radio program, then moved to radio station FM Ishikawa.

In the dressing room of FM Ishikawa, while the members were waiting their turn to do make-up and hair, they were very relaxed: Ryouhei sat and slept, Gou took pictures next to him and Inzargi was fascinated by the cosmetics of all the make-up staff. They enjoyed talking about fashion, playing games and eating cake.

This relaxing mood was interrupted when the director called them at 5:40 pm and members went down to the glassed lobby, where they were surrounded by cheers from the fans who were waiting for their appearance. The members were a little bit surprised at the unexpected sudden cheers, but they managed to wave to fans and smile. While they felt fans’ eyes boring through the glass at them, they had a staff meeting with Mr. Hirayama, the personality of the radio program, and wrote comments for the website of the radio program.

When the broadcast finally started, their new song Hadairo was played, and the members came into the open studio. They talked about how they came up with the band name of Megamasso, how great the live the day before was, about their new songs and so on. They talked quite a bit, but one comment which will stay with fans in Kanazawa was: “When we come to Kanazawa again, we’ll make a Kanazawa song.”

Thirty minutes went by in a flash, and the band members had to leave to go to the next venue in their tour, located in Sendai. The tour continued until the final live at Akasaka BLITZ on April 4, and we look forward to seeing them again in Kanazawa!
