An Cafe - Cherry saku yuuki!!

An Cafe's first release of the year does not disappoint.

An Cafe's latest single is a delightful mix of sounds that is sure to please. From cheerful pop-rock to hard and heavy pounding, the sounds represented between the two tracks are diverse and offer listeners a taste of the many different sides to An Cafe.

A sparkling instrumental intro thrusts the listener into the title track, Cherry saku yuuki!! A rich bass line pulses behind the sounds of Yu-ki's keyboards, which lead into an almost rap-like vocal bridge. Miku's vocals alternate between being sweetly assertive and oddly subtle and are always complimented by skillfully played instruments. A break near the end, along with the same attitude-riddled rap vocals heard throughout, showcases some of takuya's killer guitar riffs before the songs ends with a few playfully sung words.

ONE WAY LOVE features heavier guitar riffs along with some subtly growled and filtered vocals. Teruki's fast-paced drumming and Yu-ki's twinkling keyboards match well together, while kanon's bass is the perfect backing to the track. The music slows down a bit midway to highlight Miku's vocals as well as takuya's skillful guitar work. The chorus is addictive and is sure to have listeners singing along, once they've learned the lyrics, as well as moving around to the song's catchy rhythm. The song ends in the same way it began, with a stream of rough guitar riffs, hard hitting drumming and electric keys.

Instrumental versions of both of these songs are also included on the single.

From the electric-synth sounds of keyboards to heavy guitar riffs, rap-style chants to playfully snarled vocals, Cherry saku yuuki!! is a single featuring a little bit of everything. Pop and rock fans alike will find this release enjoyable and may even have a hard time getting these catchy tracks out of their minds. Showing off the variety of styles with which they work, the boys of An Cafe continue to surprise and please and have definitely made their mark in the visual kei world.
