FACT

FACT was formed in December 1999, and almost immediately they started to tour the local clubs in and around Chiba, Mito and Tokyo. Originally, Tomohiro was not only a bassist but also acted as the vocalist with guitarists Kazuki and Takahiro on backing vocals. In 2002, when they were joined by Hironobu, the band finally took the final shape.

In 2003 FACT traveled to California for their first short US tour. A year later they released their debut disc, titled The fine day never last. August 2006 saw the release of the first full-length album, Never Turn Out The Light To Keep Myself.

Two years later FACT signed to an American record label and released their new album Fact worldwide in April 2009. They also released a digital single, A Fact of Life, and its music video, the first one in band’s history, where they also used the Noh masks for the first time. FACT promoted the album not only in japan but also in the US, where they shared stages with Greeley Estates, Memphis May Fire and Senses Fail. Unfortunately, the tour was cut abruptly after a car collision early on, injuring drummer Eiji, but another US tour was rescheduled soon after.

The beginning of 2010 saw the release of their third album, titled In the Blink of an Eye, which took them to the 6th position of the Oricon weekly chart and became FACT’s first release to hit the top 10. Later that year they visited the UK where they played a one-man show in London. The rest of that tour was held together with American band Breathe Carolina.

Throughout 2011 FACT wasn't very active. They release a mini-album and two digital singles, and preferred intensive touring to sitting in the studio. In January 2012 they released a new album, burundanga, and introduced a new bandmember Adam, who took care of the third guitar and backing vocals. Their first documentary DVD, titled FACT/001, came out in the same day. In July they returned to America for a series of shows, and in August hit the stage at the South Korea's biggest rock festival, PENTAPORT. In the fall FACT announced they wanted to visit Europe in 2013 for the first full-fledged European tour in their career, but since then there has been no further information regarding this possible tour.
