Currently signed to Avex, Aikawa Nanase is extremely well known in the Japanese idol scene. Though her star status and softer songs tend to get her pegged in the pop category, much of her music is pure rock.

As of 2010, Nanase has launched a new project, Rockstar Steady, also under Avex Records.
