Post rock/electronica band school food punishment have announced that as of February 1st the band is on hiatus as a result of musical differences between the members.

The band apologizes for this sudden announcement and thanks their fans for supporting them. The members will each continue musical activities individually and information about their future plans are to be found on their respective Twitter accounts (Yamasaki Hideaki and Hidai Osamu) or blogs (Hidai Osamu). There is currently no information regarding the possible resumption of school food punishment's activities.
