THE BLUE HEARTS
also known as: BLUE HEARTS (THE)
major - disbanded (1985 - 1994)
The Blue Hearts were one of Japan's most famous punk bands, influenced by legendary bands such as The Clash and The Ramones.
In the later years of their career, they began to shift their style. The band took a unique musical stance and mixed together various styles ranging from country music and rock, to sounds from the 50's and 60's.
As well as being famous in the punk scene they were also highly popular in the mainstream music scene, which is unusual for bands of their genre.
