New Starting Over is considered to be the best Japanese Screamo band. Screamo is a musical genre which evolved from emo, but more specifically hardcore emo in the early 1990s. Characteristics of the genre are hardcore screaming vocals and fast, harmonized guitars.
The band is made up of four members and the microphone is shared by Doige, who uses natural vocals, and Eiki, who does the screams. Musically, they could be described as "Ellegarden meets Endzweck." For fans of the genre, NSO might remind you of certain songs from American post-hardcore band Senses Fail.
