Formed in March of 2009, ViViD signed with PS COMPANY sub-label Indie PSC. Their line-up consists of vocalist Shin (ex-RHYOLITE, Akihabara Shounendan Dennou Romeo), guitarists Reno (ex-NoveLis) and Ryouga, IV (ex-Kisnate) on bass and Ko-ki (ex-NoveLis) on drums.
Their first two releases, maxi-singles Take-off and limited version of Dear, came out on July 8 and August 19 respectively. ViViD’s first one-man, THE ViViD COLOR, took place November 7th at Shibuya O-WEST. Keeping their momentum high, in October they released their first mini-album, bearing the same title as their first one-man: THE VIVID COLOR.
The year 2010 saw the release of the regular edition of Dear and maxi-single Across The Border, which reached first on the Oricon indies chart, quite an achievement for the young group. Their fourth single is set for release on July 7th, along with their first appearance overseas at Japan Expo in Paris, France. We look forward to the future music this talented young group will bring us.
ViViD’s music incorporates a racing energy provided by fast pace compositions and sprinting guitars. Their encouraging and optimistic melodies match their bright and youthful visual style.
The two former NoveLis members in the line-up put the group on the map before their music was even released. With their Melodic Mixture Rock concept, they quickly proved to be a force in the visual scene.
