Shounannokaze (The wind from Shounan)'s music is based on reggae combined with hiphop influences. This quartet’s style pays homage to dancehall music with a level of commercial success that almost no Japanese artist playing in the same genre has achieved before.

Collaborations with other musicians such as Minmi, 10-Feet, and RYO the SKYWALKER add spice and variation to their songs.
