Crystal Kay, who is also known as Kuri or C-Kay, is a female J-Pop singer, signed to the label Epic Records Japan (Sony). The daughter of an African American father and a Korean mother often mentions that Janet Jackson is her idol and you can sometimes hear that in her music. She even recorded the song Kirakuni - Take it Easy with producers who work with Janet Jackson. Crystal Kay is famous for her atmospheric R&B and pop songs. She started her career at the age of six, signed to a label when she was twelve and kept up until now. She is an important singer in the J-Pop scene.
