Les trois membres de the fool appartiennent techniquement au mouvement visual kei, mais leur son punk lourd teinté d'électro les démarque des autres groupes indies de cette scène. Étant tous guitaristes mais aussi programmeurs de chaque chanson, leur style est assez particulier.
