Karasu

Karasu is a project formed by five well-known visual kei artists. Tatsuro from MUCC, both leader and eldest member, took the initiative and formed the group. They made their debut in the summer of 2009 at the Jack In The Box event. As might be expected, they are a visual group themselves and though it is early to characterize them, they seem to have a dark look and varied sound.

The group's line-up includes MUCC's vocalist Tatsuro, guitarists Hiroto from Alice Nine and Mizuki from Sadie, dunch from jealkb on bass, and ayabie's Kenzo on drums.

Karasu made their first appearance at the annual Jack in the Box 2009 SUMMER festival. It was completely unexpected by both visitors and the other musicians performing. That day, they played two covers and what would become their first single, LASTICA. Even though all the members are busy with their own bands, they managed to release the single in January 2010, and it reached #1 on the Oricon indies single chart.

The group, brought together by Tatsuro, was originally meant to only be a one-time thing. However, Karasu has made it clear that they might just pop up on stage somewhere sometime. So, keep your eyes on them!
