XOVER

クロスオーバー

indies - séparé (2009 - 2010)
XOVER started in 2009 as a project of Kouichi, former guitarist of Laputa, and Shaura, who leads a solo career under his other stage name, Juka.

Their music was not as influenced by electronic sounds as it was in Kouichi's solo project, Everlasting-K. Together with Shaura's voice, the songs created by this duo consist of melodic rock tunes in typical visual kei style.

biographie
XOVER's history started back in 2009 when Kouichi, formerly from Everlasting-K, asked Shaura, an ex-Juka and ex-Moi dix Mois member, to become the singer for XOVER.

On May 10th, their first PV Mezame was released at one of Everlasting-K's events, with Shaura participating in it.

Together with Masato on bass and Mikage on drums as support members, the band recorded their first mini-album, XGATE, which was released on July 22th. Shortly after, XOVER played their first live at LIVE HALL aube shibuya.

At the end of October, their first full album, Aureola, which contains ten songs, hit the stores. At the same time, the band started their first short one-man tour, consisting of three gigs, in Japan.

A notice about disbanding at the end of the month appeared in November, but the band stated later that the end of the project would be postponed to 2010.

With a live titled CLOSE THE GATE on 5th January 2010, XOVER officially put their activities to an end. However, a new live DVD was released on March 10th. It still remains to be seen if this project has truly ended.
