MOLICE was formed in 2007 by Rinko on vocals, Yuzuru Takeda on guitar, Ikuhiro on bass and Takashi Koyama on drums.
From their birth, the band began to regularly perform in Tokyo clubs, and released their first demo in May of 2007. As their popularity grew, the band began to headline events and got their big break in August, when they played at the SUMMER SONIC festival in Japan. One of the most popular events in the country, MOLICE played beside international hits like Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne.
They released their second demo in December of the same year before they hit the road again. MOLICE's next demo releases weren't until the late spring of 2008, and by the fall, they released their debut album, Doctor Ray on November 30th.
MOLICE received their first international attention in February 2009 when the band's hit songs, Ms. Panic and White Vertigo were played on "The Jay Thomas Show" on Sirius XM Satellite Radio.
This summer looks to be a busy one for the band with several lives already planned through July. Hopefully MOLICE will be able to accomplish their goal soon!
With catchy alternative music inspired by western 90's punk and rock bands, MOLICE broke into the scene just two years ago with the goal to conquer mainstream music worldwide.
With lyrics and music created by frontlady Rinko, MOLICE has created a unique sound that is quickly gaining them popularity.
