ClearVeil

クリアベール

indies - Disuelta (2007 - 2010)
ClearVeil was a live-centric visual kei band known for their fast-paced, wild sound. Vocalist Saki increasingly employed death vocals, screams and growls, and led the band in a harsher direction. While their music was typically heavy and rebellious, even their cheerier songs were characterized by dark overtones and a frenzied pace. Despite their loudness, the band also offered melodies that are memorable, entertaining and sometimes simply beautiful.

biografía
ClearVeil formed in March of 2007, beginning their journey with the event RAISE A VEIL at HOLIDAY NAGOYA. Later that spring they embarked on the Sequence Records Tour 2007. They continued playing throughout Japan for the rest of the year, the highlight of which was the release of their self-titled first mini-album in October.

In January 2008 ClearVeil began sponsoring the event baptize, starting with volume 1. In March they contributed to the UNDER CODE PRODUCTIONS 5th anniversary omnibus DVD and later that month their first maxi-single, the dropping sky, went on sale. Their subsequent maxi-single, Shinja ni sasagu uta, ranked 13th on the Oricon indie chart, but even that accomplishment was topped by their next single, lapis~ao no yuu utsu~, which ranked 12th.

July 14th was a big day as the band played their first one-man, the other side of Veil, at Nagoya e.l.l. FITS ALL. September saw the appearance of a new maxi-single, Haiiro no ikakera, which hit 18th on the Oricon chart, and in November they released another mini-album.

The year 2009 saw the release of the group's first full album, RE:BORN, in March. That spring they embarked on their first one-man tour, the dazzle of RE:BORN, and in the summer they followed up with a single, called awake. In March of 2010, their new single Black Belvet reached 8th place on the Oricon indie chart, setting a new record for the band.

Unfortunately, the journey of ClearVeil ended sooner than expected. Due to musical differences, the members announced they would disband on July 4th following their one-man live at Nagoya Electric Lady Land. We hope to see these talented musicians again in other projects.
