Dangan Shoujo

Dangan Shoujo has an eye-catching tag-line of “bullet girls is acid punk and dark fantasy music.” They are mostly known as one of the last few bands with music extremely similar to visual kei bands from the 1990s.

Dangan Shoujo is an indies visual kei band consisting of alternating band members. Vocalist Shina formerly of NOi’X is the central figure head in this band. The rest of the members are support musicians from various other smaller indie visual kei bands. These multiple reserve members fill in during recording and tours.

This band had a two-month consecutive release campaign for their first couple releases. The first was Frill no Mousougeki which came out on May 27, 2009. A month later on June 24th, Geneka was released. Ex-199x members TOMO, Aya, and TOMOKAZU produced these first releases for the band. Their record label THIRTEEN MUSIC released a compilation album, XIII FILE Vol.1, on February 2010 which featured a track by Dangan Shoujo.

Dangan Shoujo is supported by many well-known figures of the indie visual kei scene, giving this band promise for the future.
