ZAMZA, who was previously known as ZAMZA’N BANSHEE, is a rock band who is full of energy, often experimenting with rock 'n' roll. ZINC sings mostly in English. His voice, somewhat fraying while the compositions showcase musical talents of various members are heavy and without restraint. With an album released in the USA and another Japanese released on the way, ZAMZA’s style is well worth the attention.

Jinsei Tsuji, known as ZINC, is a multi-talented man. Author, poet, rock musician, producer—many names can be attributed to his persona and does not do it justice. Tsuji as well as HIROKI both wrote songs for the band ECHOES. At the time HIROKI, who is the current guitarist for ZAMZA, was in ECHOES.

KOHTA, whose real name is Kouta Igarashi, is just as accomplished as the rest of the members. He played in a wide array of musical groups over the years. BANSHEE ALIOUXCE, whose real name is Yoshihito Onda, performed with several bands years before ZAMZA. His music career blossomed as a member in the heavy metal band PRESENCE in the 1980s, in JACKS ‘N’ JOKER and as the bassist in JUDY AND MARY in 1991. JUDY AND MARY released their debut album the following year and a series of releases in the coming years. With the disbandment of JUDY AND MARY in 2001, the members parted ways and Yoshihito Onda later joined Hot Rod Crue.

In August 2008, ZAMZA formed with their first live in Shibuya in November. The following year brought upon a world tour for the band, performing in France, Germany and South Korea and the USA. Their USA debut sought a performance In November 2009 in New York almost a year later from their live in Shibuya.

Roughly six months apart, the albums MANGA and MANGA ROCK were released in Japan and North America in 2009, respectively. MANGA ROCK features new tracks and remixes of older songs under Mar Creation Records and has gained attention. With the future release of their second album tsukizoku in May 2010, much prospect holds true for the future for these four experienced musicians.
