Titled INDEPENDENT, this will be her first album since she signed to EMI Music Japan. It will contain ten tracks, including the songs Happiness, which was used for Coca Cola's Christmas campaign, Letter In The Sky feat. The Jacksons and Utsukushi kimono, used as the ending theme for the movie "Berserk Ougon Jidaihen I: Haou no Tamago" (Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler).
AI is also set to embark on a nationwide tour titled AI「INDEPENDENT」TOUR 2012 which will start in April. There are currently three dates sheduled in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya but further dates will be added.
