Though not very famous overseas, Blankey Jet City was a band which developed their music into a mature style within a short time. Their style can be classified as pop/rock but they enrich the music with blues and jazz elements. With less pop than the Yellow Monkeys, Blankey Jet City sounds similar to "garage" bands of the 60s without sounding too old fashioned. If you're a fan of pure rock music, you must give them a listen.
