Zy 46: Mix Speaker's,Inc.

interview - 06.21.2009 20:01

make a change!

For the single released on April 1st, Romeo Melody, and their CRAZY TRAIN A GO! GO! tour, the six members of Mix Speaker's,Inc. played human roles known together as "Checkmate," a band that comes from the star called "Music Star." In this interview we asked YUKI, MIKI, AYA, keiji, seek and S, who are, of course, musicians, but also actors, about this change in usual roles and about their present thoughts.

In CRAZY TRAIN A GO! GO!, all six of you play humans for the first time, how was that honestly?

seek: Even though we were in human roles, we are actually aliens. (laugh) No…but there is a delicate line there and it was difficult. I think for people who have acted in human roles before (YUKI and MIKI) it was probably easier, but we (AYA, keiji, seek, S) haven’t been human up until now. I think we were able to get into the acts when we weren’t human, so it was easier to do lives and photo shoots, but this time for some reason we felt a little embarrassed…….

MIKI: Yes, we were. (smile)

seek: I haven’t been able to fully grasp a human role yet, so I don’t quite yet understand how to make expressions on my face while on the stage.

S: It was the first time for me to show my face, as I always wear heavy costumes. (smile) I used to put on a costume of a fatty little character, so I looked rather big, but now you can see my real body line. So it is really different for me, since I had been doing that character for a long time. It is hard to find where I left my human costume…

It kind of feels like I am talking to "Youkai ningen bemu." (laugh)

S: That’s it! I’m like "I want to be a human being as soon as possible!"

In "Youkai ningen bemu," the main character died soon after he became a human. (laugh) Is the character of "Funny Snare" close to your real character, S?

S: Yes, maybe, but I’m originally more rock I think……

AYA: Are you more rock taste? (laugh)

Come now... (laugh)

S: But "Funny Snare" is rather rich, so I’m somewhere between the two.

seek: However, when we shot the PV, S wanted to show his expressions since he couldn’t before in his costume, so it was kind of annoying for us. (laugh) Even when the camera was focusing on his hands he tried to get his face into the shot.

S: For me, I was afraid of the intervals, like playing when nobody else was.

seek: Well, you know, we cut or edit that out anyway…(laugh)
