Hisaishi Joe is known as one of the most prolific composers of Japan and has gained recognition internationally through his collaboration with acclaimed animator Miyazaki Hayao (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle) and the notorious director/actor Takeshi "BEAT" Kitano.
