ULFULS, whose name originated from the misread "Soulful," was a successful Japanese rock band that started their career in the early nineties and lasted until 2009 when the band members announced they would be parting ways.
The band’s musical style mostly revolved around sixties and seventies funk and rock’n’roll, mixing in their own unique characteristics. One of these was that were known for was the humor they added to their lyrics.
The band is ultimately counted as one of the most successful Japanese rock bands and appeals to an audience of a wide age-range. Various songs of theirs have been used in commercials and anime, which helped to expand their fame.
