exist†trace has been gaining popularity since their birth in 2003. Their visuals can be described as typical gothic visual kei and, even though some of the members go for a more feminine look, their image remains dark. It matches their music well, which is gloomy and heavy with lots of screaming and occasional growling side by side with melodic singing.

What is unusual about the band is the fact that all the members are female. They're not ostentatious with their femininity any more than an average visual kei band is, and many fans don't even realize they're girls.
