Guitar Wolf have established themselves as one of the pioneering Japanese garage punk bands of their era, and they continue to record and perform music today, as strong as ever. The band is known for furiously energetic live performances, piercing vocals and a sound centering on noise, aided by heavy distortion and ear-ringing feedback.

The band has coined the term "Jet Rock'n'Roll", which describes their musical style perfectly. They possess an almost decadently wicked sound that expertly melds elements of The Ramones, rockabilly, classic punk and noise.
