Just like the name suggests, kanonxkanon consists of two musicians with the same name: female singer and classically trained cellist Kanon Wakeshima, and guitarist and bassist kanon, known as one of the members of oshare kei band An Cafe.

Their colorful fashion combines a traditional Japanese and futuristic look. Music wise they incorporate upbeat electro-pop with guitar and cello sounds, topping it off with Kanon Wakeshima's high-pitched vocals.

So far, kanonxkanon has released two singles which title-tracks have both been used for anime themes. In November, the duo will tour Europe alongside Kanon Wakeshima as a solo artist.
